Kelly joined the firm’s Liberty office in April of 2023. She practices in the areas of trust and estate administration, guardianships and conservatorships, and fiduciary litigation. Kelly began her legal career with the Missouri Attorney General’s office, where she was recognized for her excellence in written advocacy. She served as an Assistant Attorney General for over seven years before transitioning to private practice. Much of her practice as an AAG was devoted to the protection and recovery of state funds, including Title XIX (Medicaid). Immediately prior to joining Kirkland Woods & Martinsen LLP, Kelly practiced with a Kansas City firm assisting business clients with litigation and transactional matters. Kelly graduated with honors from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law, where she served as a teaching assistant in the Legal Writing Program and as a Rule 13 attorney in the Child & Family Services Clinic. She earned her undergraduate degree in English, magna cum laude, at Colorado State University. When she is not in the office, Kelly enjoys spending time with her young family. |
